Social Responsibility

  • As a long-established global community whose primary work is centred on education and social justice, we feel it important to set an example of how a non-corporate entity like ours can play a key role in embedding social responsibility into the fabric of our work.
  • In developing our strategy to support socio-economic and environmental sustainability, we created Black British Academics Foundation, to utilise our global connections, interdisciplinary knowledge and expertise for long-term societal benefit.
  • We believe the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is perfectly aligned to our wider goal of supporting community empowerment and is an excellent framework for addressing critical world issues that affect people and the planet we live in.
  • Through our charitable foundation, our philanthropic work will be undertaken through collaborative research and advocacy, and providing financial and strategic support to our global partners.
  • From April 2022, we are donating 10% of all income generated through this website, including consultancy, content promotion and other professional services to support sustainable development projects in developing countries.
