Community Forum

A key aspect of Our Mission is to build intellectual, social and cultural capital within our communities. We believe this is best achieved by working with community members in co-creative partnerships that promote active participation in the development of new knowledge to enrich and empower our communities.
Our Community Forum is inter-generational: we welcome 1Black people from different age groups,  genders, faiths and socio-economic groups, regardless of the industry you work in, whether you are studying, between jobs or retired. Everyone has something to contribute and the more diverse the perspectives, the more enriched the outcomes will be.  We aim to develop collaborative projects that meet real needs and promote sustainability.
To join our Community Forum, sign up to our newsletter and select ‘Community Forum’ from the network options.
1‘Black’ is used politically and conceptually as a term of empowerment and is inclusive of people of African descent, Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Chinese and multiracial backgrounds. While it is accepted that these groups are heterogeneous, we are united as a strategy to foster unity and facilitate collaboration. See our statement on racial categorisation and terminology.
