Dr Josephine Kwhali

Dr Kwhali is a former senior lecturer and course director of the undergraduate social work degree at Coventry University.  Prior to entering higher education she held senior management positions in London, including Assistant Director posts in Lambeth, Hammersmith and Fulham; Head of Children's Resources in Greenwich and Head of Children's Services in Hackney. Dr Kwhali was awarded her doctorate from Sussex University, exploring the narratives of African Caribbean Christian elders and Black theology's contribution to anti-racist social work. She is currently working as an independent researcher/consultant after making a conscious decision to devote more time to meaningful projects that tackle inequality.
